[googlefont="Griffy"][googlefont="Abel"] SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Shopping, that was really the only real reason that Jefferson had left the almost solitary feeling of Denali Alaska and the feeling of clarity that the beautiful vision of perfection Saxa Vanguard gave both his spirit and mind. Why would someone over a century old have the need to go shopping? The need stemmed from the fact that all of his clothing was from that last century which meant that he stuck out like a sore thumb and so Jefferson drove his newly acquired yellow VW bug to the small city and to the shopping district. Once he got out of his car, eyes instantly quickly drifted to him due to his strange attire. This just caused the insane vampire to lower his head a bit to avoid looking anyone in the eyes not because he was shy but because he didn't want to see the blood filled veins in their eyes when he could already smell everyone around. “If everybody minded their own business, the world would go around a great deal faster than it does.” As Jefferson spoke the quote from the story he could remember so very well but yet not very well at all he couldn't stop himself from shutting his eyes as the tick tock sound within his own insanity plagued mind grew louder and louder as if it was threatening to blow out his ear drums and crack his skull like an egg. This feeling caused the vampires hands to begin to shake and the smell of blood from the humans in the area to grow ever stronger in his nostrils. This lead Jefferson to reach into his right inner coat pocket and pull out a small metal flask filled with human blood that he had gotten from a blood bank and take a quick swing so that he could contain his blood lust and lessen the ticking in his mind. Once the feeling lessened he slipped the flask back into his coat pocket and looked around at the different shops. They mostly seemed to be for the younger generation, all except for one nice formal wear shop and so Jefferson decided to walk in. "Better then nothing I guess."Once Jefferson walked inside he looked around at all the nice suits and couldn't help but smile at all the nice modern suits and so he began to look around the different wracks. As he did though he couldn't help but scrunch his nose as he smelled something rather fowl. "What's that smell? It's bloody rancid."current outfittreasured top hatJacob Black

| I t was a rare day off for Jake, he’d spent the best part of the past week alternating between running the border and sleeping, coming across a variety of different bloodsuckers, the scents sticking in his head for familiarity reasons. And because the stink was enough to give anyone a headache. Bella had been handling things…well, given the circumstances. She’d busied herself with school, and finding time to see Jacob (or Jacob crashing out at hers) when he wasn’t running patrol. He could tell there was more to it than she was letting on, but he refused to push her for answers. She opened up over time, this he’d learnt from times before. Pushing her wasn’t going to help anyone. Today, Jake would be…shopping. Eugh, he hated shopping. But with everything going on, he’d been rapidly phasing through clothes more often than he’d admitted to Billy. His dad didn’t have much money as it was, Jake couldn’t handle him paying out for yet more clothes that he would likely destroy within a matter of weeks. It was part and parcel of being a wolf, and having a temper. Two things Jake would much rather be without…before everything had happened he’d been much more easy, carefree…stupid wolf heritage had put an end to that. Parking up in Port Angeles, Jacob sighed. He placed the motorbike carefully on its stand and ignored the shifty stares he was getting. Jacob stood far above most regular people, and he had filled out to a size that made him look more like a thirty year old…not a normal sixteen year old. This also caused problems when it came to finding clothes, finding stuff to fit was just annoying. As he took a breath in, he noticed an unfamiliar stink…he rolled his eyes. Great. On his day off too. Hoping not to run into said bloodsucker, he headed toward the shops and made his way into the first clothing store. As he entered, the stink hit him harder. His eyes scanned the store, and it wasn’t long before Jacob pinpointed who it was resinating from. He stood out like a sore thumb - his attire from…well he wasn’t sure where, but definitely not from this small town. Jacob frowned as he heard the bloodsuckers comment - like he’d not heard that one before - and made his way over to the stranger. “Lost, are we?” he growled under his breath, trying to not draw too much attention to their conversation, “you look to be a long way from home,” the distinct British accent hadn’t been the first Jake had come across. What was with these vampires? |

[googlefont="Griffy"][googlefont="Abel"] SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY As the stink got closer to Jefferson he was finally able to identify what it was. It smelled like someone had let a dirty mutt inside the store. Jefferson was about to look around for said stray dog when a rather annoyed voice came toward him from behind which caused him to turn. Once he was facing the voice he saw that it belonged to a rather tall and built man of what seemed to be some sort of Indian decent. Jefferson just listened with a raised brow as the man asked if he was lost and followed the question up by saying that Jefferson was a long way from home. Jefferson decided to answer by turning his body back toward the wrack of clothes while he spoke. "Aye I am a long way from home. No need to get your non-existent fur in a bunch mate I won't be staying state side for very long. I just came to visit someone and once I'm done doing that I am going back to queen and country. I assume by your tone you already know what I am lad? I must admit I am at a disadvantage on that front. We don't have anyone that smells like you where I'm from."As Jefferson spoke he kept his voice low like the stranger did as to not bring attention to themselves. As he finished speaking he began to go through the wracks of different suits as he tried to find something that he liked. Jefferson had to admit that through the last century the world had made quite a good many advances but in terms of clothing he wasn't very impressed with what today's generation called casual and so he decided to stick with his formal clothing. It took a moment but Jefferson found a nice dark blue with white stripe suit, white shirt and blue and white striped tie combo that he rather liked that even had the correct shoes in his size. He quickly plucked it off the shelf and turned back to the dog smelling man. "I have not killed a single human since I arrived here. I have been getting my blood from blood banks since my arrival. This is not my territory and so I will not hunt here unless given permission and even then I only drink from those from Insane asylums who have no family to go back too. I work as an orderly back in my land. I help as many as I can get their minds back and only feed on those who are beyond saving. I am no mindless monster. My name is Jefferson."Jefferson then held the suit up to his body for the man to judge. "What do you think? I am here to get more modern formal ware."suitJacob Black

| J acob grinned as the vampire turned to face him, it seemed as though he had caught him off guard. Good! He liked having the element of surprise when it came down to it. The bloodsucker was shorter than him, though that wasn’t difficult – most people were. He crossed his arms and stood straight, listening out for any others – though it seemed as though he was alone. Jacob was a bit shocked when the bloodsucker turned his back on him, a very daring move…he didn’t know any vampires that would knowingly turn their back on a werewolf. Jacob scoffed at his comment; that explained a lot – he had no idea what Jake was or the damage he could do. “You don’t know what I am?” He raised an eyebrow at the back of the bloodsuckers head, well…this could be fun. “I’m your worst nightmare, mate” he grinned, imitating the vampires British accent in a low voice, he didn’t want to draw too much attention to the two of them. People had already eyed the two suspiciously – after all they were total opposites, and looked nothing like two friends just hanging out. Surely there was something in the bloodsuckers nature that alerted him to the natural enemy – after all, as a wolf the fever hit them when a new vampire came into town. “Jacob Black, wolf and natural enemy to the bloodsuckers of this world.” A wicked grin spread across his face, it felt good to have the upper hand for a change, and should Mr British Bloodsucker try anything funny…Jake was prepared. He watched carefully as the bloodsucker browsed the clothes in front of him – wondering what on earth it was he was looking for. Having eyeballed him a few times, Jacob figured he wouldn’t find much to his…um… taste here. It was more what Jake was used to wearing, vest tops and shorts combo – very casual and easy to phase in, especially when he was caught unaware. Jacob refused to spend decent money on fancy clothes when in reality they weren’t really going to last very long at all – though controlling his temper had got a lot better recently, he put that down to the calming influence of Bella. Pulled from his thoughts, the bloodsucker went on to inform him of his lifestyle. Jacob rolled his eyes, he didn’t care much about the choices the bloodsuckers made – as long as they understood the treaty. “I’m only here to reinforce the laws, if you’re not causing problems I’ll take a step back…for now…Jefferson.” He grimaced, the name was unfamiliar – as if from another time. Bloodsuckers, it seems like they’ve all been round for centuries. “So preying on the weak and vulnerable is okay?” he raised his eyebrow, blood banks was one thing, you know…stealing from donations wasn’t great but at least it didn’t involve biting anyone. Looking the suit up and down, Jake gave a blank stare, “I’m really not a fashion expert,” he indicated to the get-up he was currently in…khaki shorts and a grey vest. Nothing special. “If you want modern formal wear you want Seattle.” His words were blunt, not really sure what to make of Jefferson. One thing was for sure, another vamp in the area meant he’d be on the lookout for kids on the res going through the motions. This was getting ridiculous. He signed, shifting his weight from one foot to the other with impatience. |

[googlefont="Griffy"][googlefont="Abel"] SEARCHING IN THE DARKNESS WE ARE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT RUNNING FROM THE DAY Jefferson couldn't help but chuckle like a mad man as the wolf man known as Jake said that he was his worst nightmare. That was truly hilarious at least to Jefferson's insanity plagued mind. When you have been alive for over a century you saw more horrible things then a buff wolf man especially when at the beginning of that immortal life you had your wife and daughter taken away from you. As the faces of his long dead wife and daughter began to poke out of the thick tick tock sound filled fog that was Jefferson's insanity his laughter began to get a bit louder as his hands began to shake as he just grinned at Jacob. "Foolish pup do you really pride yourself so highly that you think that you could scare a man who is a century and a half old? Do you think you are the worst nightmare of the man who watched both his wife and five year old daughter get slaughtered right in front of him as he was turned into a monster?!"As Jefferson mentioned his long slaughtered family his insane laughter took a sad tone to it as if if he was able to cry human tears he would be as his grief, guilt and insanity gripped him tightly like a vice. Knowing that if he let it carry on for too long he might end up losing control of his ability to manipulate sanity and so he shut his eyes tightly and used his free hand to reach into his right inner coat pocket to pull out a small metal flask. He then unscrewed the top and took a big swig of the human blood contents and allowed the flavor of the blood calm his mind since his dear Saxa was not around. Once he began to regain some clarity he closed his flask and slipped it back into his coat. He then opened his eyes and looked at the man in front of him. “The time has come, the walrus said, to talk of many things: Of shoes and ships - and sealing wax - of cabbages and kings."As Jefferson in his mad state quoted his daughters favorite story he recalled that Jacob had said about himself upholding the laws. This made Jefferson what species laws the young pup was talking about so he hung the suit he had chosen over his right arm and raised an eyebrow. "Tell me Mate. What laws do you uphold? What species do you truly serve? Who do you truly protect? Why is a raven like a writing desk?"Jefferson couldn't help but chuckle at the famous question about the raven but deep down he was concerned about where the pups allegiances truly lied. Jefferson knew what it was like to be stuck between two lands and two rulers. He knew how maddening it could be. "I swear upon my honor and my hat upon my head that you have no need to come for me. I have come to see the Cullen's about their odd choice of..food and their family style coven. I have recently..met someone who I wish to provide for and give the best life. After all lad, what's the point of living forever if you can't live with yourself. Tell me mate the rules of the land and they shall be followed until my departure. If not it's off with my head!"Jacob Black
