BIOGRAPHY Mike was born in Sacramento, California to Karen and David Newton in 1988. His family moved to Forks when he was 10 years old and opened Newton's Olympic Outfitters. He is the only child in his family and had recently been made to take up work part-time for his parents in the store, selling camping and hiking gear. Upon finishing high school, Mike hopes to attend WSU after high school in order to major in Sport Management and minor in Business Administration. Currently, he keeps average grades (around a C); he isn't the smartest cookie in the box, and he tends to view his socializing as more important. If he applied himself a little more, he could probably push his average up to a C+/B-. From the moment he arrived in forks, he became a popular kid in school. He was athletic, and funny and generally a nice kid. As he grew older, he becaome fairly attractive guy too - compared to others in the small town anyway. His skin held a faint tan from his California days, his hair was always spiked and gelled to perfection and his crystal blue eyes caught the attention of any female. He was nice a polite, basically the boy next door that parents actually wanted their daughters to date. During high school, Mike dated some of the most popular girls, including Lauren Mallory, and more recently Jessica Stanley, who had had a crush on him for years. He and Jessica have been dating on-and-off throughout sophomore year after Bella told mike that he should take Jessica to prom instead of her. Mike is currently describing their relationship status as 'its complicated'. Mike is very athletic; he runs track as well as playing football for Forks High School Spartans. Mike first met Bella Swan on her first day of school, and took an immediate romantic liking to her. He to competed for her affections against some other boys at school including Edward Cullen, even after they started dating. Bella once tries to imagine him with a wagging tail, since he followed her around so much. Mike was extremely jealous of Edward and was always at odds with him for Bella's attention. After the Cullen's left town, despite Bella's manic depression, Mike still held out hope that now he'd be able to win her over. When she had invited him to the movies, he had jumped at the chance.
