No matter how far Jefferson traveled away from the home of the Cullen families home he always ended up making his way back to the tree boarder of their property it seemed. It had been about a week since Jefferson had met with the Matriarch of the Cullen family known as Esme. Since that day he had met a vampire named Jane who seemed to belong to the Volturi and two wonderful human women named Bridget and Emerald who reminded him so very much of his long dead and gone wife and daughter respectfully. Meeting these two humans seemed to cause Jefferson even in his fog like and ticking filled insanity to gravitate subconsciously back to the home of what seemed to be the worlds kindest family of vampires. As rain poured down on a gloomy 4 P.M Monday afternoon Jefferson just leaned against a thick tree and kept his eyes locked on the Cullen home so he could watch their comings, goings and interactions so he could see how they pulled off the family dynamic.
“How puzzling all these changes are! I'm never sure what I'm going to be, from one minute to another.”
As Jefferson quoted his darling Samantha Grace's favorite story he couldn't help but chuckle as the fog of his insanity threatened to swallow up his reason as the maddening sound of a ticking clock rang out in his mind. This led Jefferson to close his eyes and begin tapping the back of his head against the tree what he thought was gently but he was actually leaving a small indent with every tap while he chuckled like a mad man. After a few moments of this, Jefferson began to try and force the fog to clear and the ticking to quiet down at least a little bit.
"Keep it together Jefferson. Keep it together for them! You can't lose yourself around them and hurt them! You can't let what happened to Emma and Samantha happen to those two as well."
As he forced the fog to clear Jefferson pictured the smiling faces of his wife and daughter Emma and Samantha Grace. He then pictured his meeting with Emerald in the Alley and his meeting with Bridget in the park and how beautiful and special they both were. This could be his chance to have a family again so he couldn't ruin by not being able to controlling his mad and bent mind. This was his chance to be just a little bit human again.
