Who is the reason, the one you're living for? Who is the reason, the one you're crying for? ------------------------------------It was no secret to their kids that Carlisle and Esme had their island called Isle Esme. It was a gift to his wife, not only that it gave the family a place to relax not even the Volturi knew about it, well they might know the family owns an island, but they would have no idea where it was. Now it was not used as much as you would expect an island to be, but for the most part, it allowed Carlisle and Esme to get away from Forks along side being able to talk about things without worrying about the kids overheating or finding out.
The last couple of years had dawned on him, all this drama with the Volturi and Bella finding out about the Volturi terrified him. They were the only people who could rip his family away from him, and he knew that Aro could and would sink that low if he meant he could acquire Edward Alice and Bella. He would rather die than ever see any of his family Serve the Volturi but his kids were smart, and they knew to never give into the Volturi not even if his own life was at risk. No doubt his wife would agree with him.
At present he was standing out on the patio, it was early evening, and so this was the best time to see the stars. Not only that he had not spent as much time with Esme as he had wanted to, hence why bringing her to the island was spur of the moment thing; but he loved to surprise his wife be it with gifts or just random kisses and embraces. Without her in his life then he may never have ever created his coven or have such a beautiful family. No doubt Esme was doing this and that after all this was her island and so Carlisle would be more than happy to wait until done. He was troubled and no doubt Esme would pick up on that, after all, they knew each other like a book.

~Don't be afraid to love~
We got our happily ever after...
Esme smiled happily as she arranged a bouquet of white and red roses in a crystal vase, which was masterfully cut to resemble a many-pointed star that caught the light and sent rainbows shimmering across the tabletop. Both the vase and the roses had been gifts from Carlisle. Esme loved her husband very dearly, and he never left any doubt that he felt the same about her. It was a dream come true, this love. Only in her fondest, most secret dreams had she thought she'd get something like this. Especially after everything.
I really am living happily ever after. Despite everything...I did get my wish.
The darkness of her previous life had been banished by the amazing changes her new life had brought. She had a wonderful, loving family that she'd do anything to protect. She had her true love. She was immortal and gifted with supernatural abilities. It was truly incredible.
Esme smiled as she remembered when she'd first met him. He was charming and compassionate, her idea of a perfect gentleman. Even as a young girl, she'd felt an affection for him. When Carlisle had moved on to another town, she'd felt his absence. But then her life had moved on.
Her smile faded as her mind momentarily traveled back to those dark times, when she lived in terror and pain. Where no one believed her and no one would save her. However, the realization that there was a precious life growing within her had helped her see that she had to do something. The idea of the little one being treated so horribly had made anger and determination burn in her heart. It gave her the strength to make her escape.
How brief her happiness had been. Found once more by the monster she'd married, her anxiety and fear had returned. Then had come the harshest blow of all: the loss of her child. Her world shattered at that moment. There was nothing left worth living for. She remembered standing on the cliff, the wind pulling at her, the lack of any feeling but the emptiness and despair. Then she'd stepped off...and somehow found herself waking up to Carlisle's face.
Of course, it hadn't all been easy. After she had been saved by Carlisle and become a vampire, it had been almost impossible to resist the call of human blood. Without Carlisle to guide and teach her, Esme knew it would have overwhelmed her and she would have become a monster. But Carlisle had showed her a better way to live, where they valued human life and only hunted wildlife. But even then they were merciful in their kills and only hunted when it was needed.
Carlisle, she thought. I owe you so much...
She turned and looked out at the patio, where Carlisle was standing and gazing up. She smiled fondly, feeling a sense of wonder and completeness.
It truly is amazing, Esme thought. After everything we've both been through, we found each other again.
Esme walked out and slid an arm around her husband. She smiled up at him, feeling a rush as the starlight caught his gold eyes. She had sensed he was troubled, and she wanted to help. She brushed his cheek with her lips in a soft kiss.
"What's wrong, my beloved? What's on your mind?"

This is where it all begins, Your hand, so soft and gentle I won't let it go No, I won't let it go On the last day on the earth All I wanna do is share a smile with you Till I cross the twilight Nothing could be truer than this love I have for you My love will testify and last through the ages --------------------- Dr. Carlisle Cullen Olympic coven Patriarch --------------------------- Tagged Esme Anne Cullen Words: 348 Outfit: Here Notes: <3
------------------------------------ Esme was the light of his life, he loved them all the same, but as any husband should, he loved his wife more. But looking back on how they met maybe this was heavens way of allowing Carlisle to live the life he wanted and to stop being lonely. Without meeting any of his children or his wife Carlisle may have very well ended up back with the Volturi, and if that ever came pass would he still feed on animals or would the Volturi finally win him over. But thankfully he met Esme and his family so that part of his life died in Volterra when he left for the new world.
But his life had been far from easy he's had to deal with problems and threats to his family most of his life, but if anything it made the bond stronger between them all as a family. That meant the world to him he loved his family and even loved Nova as a friend, as he saved her, and so he was proud to call her one of his best friends. So much so that he gave her after school job working with him at forks general. He loved helping people as much as she did being with his family and he had seen everyone in forks at some point or an another.
He smiled as heard his wife footsteps drawing closer to him, as always he could sense her arrival as being madly in love with someone has that effect on you. But he was troubled with the Volturi and Bella issue. If they did not do what they promised then, the Volturi would no doubt pay them a visit, and that would be bad news for everyone even the wolfs. He smiled as he felt her arms around him and only smiled after he felt the kiss he could talk to his wife about anything and trust me he did just that.
"It shows that bad does it, heh well I never could hide anything from you dear. Your right I am troubled this whole Bella and Edward issue and the Volturi briefing down are necks, I worry for the family. Aro would never attack us without reason. But the longer Bella remains human the threat of the Volturi hangs like a dagger above our throat.
But on to more lighter topics I gave Nova a job working with me after school, ever since I saved her life I feel connected to her, not in the same way I do to you. But as a very dear friend, also she wants to know if she can come dinner sometime I told her I would ask you as you may like to cook again for someone who can eat it this time." He smiled a little and kissed her back as he looked out over the water.

~Don't be afraid to love~
I am his One, and he is mine. We are completed by each other. What a wonderful feeling, to have love like this!
Esme listened to Carlisle as he spoke. It made her feel good, knowing he could tell her anything. This bond they had was stronger than any other in the world. She remembered how, as a human girl, her heart had beat so fast around him. How sad she had felt when he left.
The situations facing them were serious indeed. The Volturi were a shadow looming in the distance, menacing and unpredictable. But Esme and her family had been through trouble before. In every situation they had stood together. Nothing was going to separate them, especially Esme and Carlisle. Their bond would withstand time itself.
Esme sensed that Carlisle needed encouragement and reassurance, and she was all too happy to offer it and support him. She smiled, wrapping both arms around Carlisle and hugging him tightly. Her gold eyes reflected the stars and the moon that had just appeared on the horizon as she looked up at him.
"We'll figure out a plan to deal with the Volturi. We always get through things together. As for Nova, I would love to meet her. It would be nice to cook again." She smiled. "It's been a while since we've had a guest at the house. It will be fun."
As the waves turned silver in the moonlight, Esme turned and playfully pulled Carlisle down onto the sand, grinning and giving him a long, sweet kiss.
"For now, let's not worry about anything. We're here together. It's just about us right now."
She ran her fingers through his hair, smoothing it and watching his eyes as they reflected the stars.
"I never thanked you. I owe you so much, Carlisle. You've given me everything I could have ever wanted. But the most precious things you have given me are your heart, your soul, and your love. I give you mine in return. It's all I can offer."
If she had been human, her heart would have been beating so fast. But even without that, a rush still went through her. She knew she was a hopeless romantic, but she loved being able to love Carlisle the way she did. It was what she had always dreamed of. Sure, there were possibly some hard times on the horizon, but right now, Esme was determined that she and Carlisle would make the most of the time they had here.

------------------------------------ "We'll figure out a plan to deal with the Volturi. We always get through things together. As for Nova, I would love to meet her. It would be nice to cook again." His wife was always thinking of the steps ahead of them, just one of many reasons that he loves her and they took the death do is part of vows to a whole new level. But meeting Emse and marrying her was one of best moments of his life, watching her walk down towards him. It was like watching an angel descend from heaven itself. But Esme would always be his angel even if he she did not have wings, but he was sure he could talk her into dressing up as an angel if they have host fancy dress party.
Did I ever tell you when we married and I saw you in that dress, you looked divine you would have put the angels to shame if they were in attendance? I could not picture my life without you in it, so I do have to thank fate for allowing us to cross paths all them years ago, but you're right I don't know when we may ever get time to ourselves again. So let's do what they do Rome and enjoy this moment. He smiles returned the kiss his life was far from perfect it would be if the Volturi never Existed, but at the same time if they did not then he may never move to the new world and met his family.
"I never thanked you. I owe you so much, Carlisle. You've given me everything I could have ever wanted. But the most precious things you have given me are your heart, your soul, and your love. I give you mine in return. It's all I can offer." "You don't owe me anything if anything I owe you and dare I say it the Volturi If it was not for Aro taking me in and then me learning of the new world though his guards, then I may never have met you and we may never be as happy as we are now. Anyhow, tell me to have you had any new architect requests. You know I was thinking of adding a new floor to the house maybe making it training area encase we do have to fight.

~Don't be afraid to love~
Esme smiled fondly as she remembered their wedding day. That feeling of walking out into the aisle and seeing Carlisle standing there, waiting for her. She could still see the grin on his face when he saw her, and she knew she had the same glowing smile. That day, and every day since, had been magical.
Esme grinned and tackled Carlisle in the sand, laughing softly as she hugged him on the ground.
"Carlisle, I'm sure I could figure out something with the architecture of the house. But for now, stop worrying for a moment. We'll get to preparations later. Right now, I want it to be just about us."
She pressed her lips to his in a long, slow kiss. As always, a tingling rush went through her as their lips met. She cupped his cheek in her hand, staring into his eyes. As always, she could see the love and compassion that he had reflecting brightly there, making the gold truly shine.
"I am the luckiest woman in the world because I have you, and I am yours. This love is so amazing. I only ever dreamed of this. And yet here we are, with a bond unlike any other in the world. I could love you a thousand years and it still wouldn't be enough time."
Esme rested her head on his chest. It felt so natural and right, being with Carlisle. Every moment she spent with him, every kiss, every hug, every loving touch just felt like it was meant to be.
And I believe we were, Esme mused. No matter what happened, we would have found each other.
She snuggled against Carlisle, a smile tugging her lips into a curve at the idea. It was a thought she'd had often.
"Carlisle, I think no matter what we would have found each other. We were meant to be, and our family was meant to exist."
She gently wrapped her fingers in his hair and kissed him again, pouring her love and passion into the kiss. Truly, she had been blessed with a miracle. Even though she'd had to go through a lot of darkness to get here, it had been worth it just to be with him. And she would protect him with all she had. Not even the Volturi could stop their love.
"I love you Carlisle. Always and forever, even until the end of time."
