Leah Clearwater I think there's a flaw in my code general info
personality Once upon a time Leah used to be a very different girl – one that was full of life, loved to be around people, and was kind for the most part. However, in the beginning of the end, she lost the first guy she ever loved. Not because of anything she did or didn’t do, but because of their insane heritage as shifters and a thing called “Imprinting”. Then her father died and she phased, her ex being the guide for new wolves. She became much more temperamental, angry, bitter, and she’s far from afraid to show it. As a result, she is usually the last person anyone wants around. Especially since she can be a bit vindictive in terms of her mind-link to her pack when it feels like a knife is constantly being jammed into her heart and twisted. Her heart might be broken (or blackened) due to circumstances in her life, but she is tough in more ways than one and there is so much more to her than meets the eye. The Leah most people get, who she is on the surface, is someone that normally speaks her mind no matter how awful it sounds and doesn’t make a huge secret out of what she likes or doesn’t like. On the bright side, it’s not hard for anyone to tell where they stand with her within a couple seconds of being in her presence. The downside? Leah is a difficult person to deal with most days of the week and doesn’t seem to know the meaning of certain words/phrases such as “be gentle”, something that’s not helped any by the fact it seems as if she cares about very little. At the same time, she’s decisive, quick on her feet, and happens to be very protective of her baby brother, Seth. Deep down is a girl that feels hurt and trapped in a life she didn’t choose or made for herself. She already lost a lot and being the first female shifter anyone on the reservation ever heard of makes her terrified that she’ll never get to have kids or imprint on a guy that could give her a love similar to the way Sam and Emily, maybe even Jacob and Bella, love each other. She wants to be happy, more grounded, and she’s still trying to figure out how to get there. At the moment, she’d settle for not being a pathetic ex-girlfriend a guy can’t get rid of and/or being a good big sister that won’t let her little brother volunteer to help with vampires by himself. BIOGRAPHY Born the first child and only daughter of Quileute Tribal Elder, Harry Clearwater, and his wife, Sue, Leah came into the world at the La Push reservation in time where the tales and legends of men shifting into wolves to protect the tribe from the Cold Ones were merely stories to the younger generations. Men, no women. Like most children on the rez, she grew up on the oral folklore of their people, and would remain unaware that any of what her father told her was real and true for almost two decades. However, she had two parents that couldn’t have loved her or each other more. Not that she made it easy from the start, jokingly referred to as the cause of her parents’ first gray hairs. Leah was very active as a baby and toddler, climbing and running before she could really walk and reading a little earlier/faster than expected thanks to her mother pointing out the challenge. Even when she was small, her headstrong streak was noted. About the age of five, Leah was introduced to the first major change in her life. Just when her parents were certain that their little girl would be their only child and she had gotten close to her cousin, Emily, who was becoming more like a sister to her, Sue fell pregnant. No one knew how Leah would react to being a big sister, but the second Seth was there she adored him. He annoyed her death at the times, sure. It’s something he would never outgrow. Despite this, from the moment his tiny fist wrapped itself around her finger and tried to put in his mouth she knew. She would always watch out for him and never let anything happen to him if she had any say in the matter. Other than that, she had a normal, happy childhood right up to the time she went to high school. Freshmen year, Leah met an amazing guy by the name of Sam Uley. He was smart and sweet and everything she could ever ask for in someone to fall in love with. Against the advice of most adults in her life, and with a go ahead from her dad, the two began to date. Like many relationships, they had their ups and downs but was mainly happy for three years. Then when vampires moved close to the reservation in the wooded outskirts of Forks during her junior year, Sam disappeared for two weeks – a time during which Leah drove herself and everyone around her crazy with worry, scared that something happened to him. Eventually he turned up again, changed and without any explanation whatsoever. A frustrated Leah tried to give him space to resolve whatever issues plagued him, not that it had mattered. One day, Emily came from where she lived on the Makah Reservation for a visit and Sam saw her. Suddenly he broke up with Leah and soon enough got with her cousin, the ex-girlfriend not knowing then anything about shapeshifters or that Sam had imprinted on Emily. In just over two very seemingly short years later with the arrival of more vampires, more tragedy struck an increasingly moody and brokenhearted Clearwater. While her father was out in the woods on a hunt with one of his best friends, Charlie Swan, he suffered a massive heart attack and died. Grief compounded with all the other emotions Leah felt which resulted in her unexpectedly phasing into a wolf alongside her little brother. The first female shifter in recorded history – a fact that she might have enjoyed if that didn’t mean she was forced to endure Sam and Emily rubbed her face, the explanation coming far too late to assuage any of her pain, or that no one had a clue what that meant for her body and potential freedom from her misery. It didn’t help when Jacob was lovesick over a human girl, Bella, or now that Jake decided to break away from Sam and formed his own pack. Fortunately for Leah, she was one of the rare few who knows exactly which pack is hers. But that’s because, to her, it wasn’t about who was right or where she was wanted. It was about finally breaking free from an ex she had to face every day and he couldn’t get away from her because they were both shifters. She couldn’t leave the area because hell would freeze over before she’d let Seth do something like volunteer to be a vampire chew to by himself. So whether Jake likes it or not, Leah decided she’s following him. And she’ll do anything to prove herself. After all, whatever Jake or the vampires throw at her has got to be far better than following Sam. Plus she’s still the fastest of the wolves and knows she could be useful given half a chance. | ooc info ☆ NAME Addie ☆ AGE 24 ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS N/A ☆ TIMEZONE EST ☆ HOW DID YOU FIND US?
