personality Jacob is a fairly complex person, sometimes he can seem very friendly, though shy and slightly sheepish, especially around Bella when they first met. However, he can also shift moods from being his happy, carefree self to being sullen and temperamental. He is one of the few who dislike being wolf the most, and often wants nothing more than to be rid of his magical inheritance, but over time has learned how to adapt to the idea. During free time, he enjoys rebuilding automotive vehicles, hanging out with his friends, and playing with Renesmee. He also has an interest in watching action movies and commenting on bloody scenes. Overall, he tend to be very friendly, playful, carefree and caring towards the people around him. He would go to any extent to protect those he loves most, his father and Bella come first and foremost. He can often show a more sarcastic, slightly obnoxious and slightly childish side, and has a hot-headed temper. After embracing his right as an Alpha he has begun to take the responsibilities of leading his renegade pack more seriously. Like all the other shifters in La Push, he can be a bit prejudice against the Cullens and other vampires, viewing them as nothing more than blood-sucking monsters. BIOGRAPHY Jacob Black is a long-time close family friend of the Swan family, due to the fact his dad and Charlie Swan are best friends. He met Bella for the first time since they were little after she moved back to Forks, and got to know her a little when she and some of her schoolmates spent a day on First Beach. What he didn't realise was, when he was recounting the Quileute legend of the Cullens, he introduced the idea of Edward and his family being vampires. Soon after, Bella and Edward began dating, something Billy convinced Jacob to warn Bella against it, although he didn’t really understand why at the time. He was then talked into crashing Forks High's prom under his father's orders to reiterate the same warning. On the news of the Cullens leaving town a few months later, Bella becomes very close to Jacob, who comforted her during her hardship by trying to cheer her up by engaging in various different activities including motor-bike riding. Jacob tried to help her to become somewhat happy and normal again, though he knew that she still deeply missed Edward. He explained to Bella during this time that he has become frightened and disturbed by the influence a young man on the reservation, Sam Uley, had on some of the Quileute youth, especially after his best friend, Embry Call, joined them and cut contact with his other friends. Because of this, Bella and Jake grew closer and his feelings toward her became more apparent. Until he got sick…or so he thought. Jacob went through an unexpected transformation into a werewolf, and as werewolves are short-tempered, highly violent, and likely to explode into wolf form when angered, Jacob was initially forbidden by Sam to see Bella in order to protect her from him and his lack of control. He did his best to stay away, but one week later, she came to visit him at his home, though he pushed her away in the hope of being able to protect her. He and his new friends patrolled the forest, searching for vampires that had been killing hikers in the area. Jacob and the pack saved Bella from the vampire Laurent, who was trying to kill her. Jacob chose then to try and find away around his orders that stopped him to explaining what he had become to Bella. Showing up unexpectedly at Bella's bedroom window he apologized for their recent fight and his avoidance of her. He explained to her that he couldn’t tell her what was going on, but left her a clue - telling her to remember the stories he told her on First Beach. Leaving her to think, Jake wiped out at home, only to be woken up by an argument going on outside. Phasing to protect her, Jacob had it out with his ‘brother’ Paul and left a mark in their minds that he would always protect her. Finally Jacob got a chance to explain to her what their job entails, to protect humans from vampires, and they would never intentionally harm anyone. Jacob and his pack assigned themselves to protecting Forks, Bella and Charlie from Victoria having discovered exactly what the red-head was after. Having worked on renewing their friendship, until the ridiculous moment he watch her from a distance jump off a cliff. Pulling her out of the water, Jacob and Bella were told the news that Charlie and Billy's friend Harry Clearwater had died of a heart attack; a quick succession of events later that evening and the next day pulled Bella and Jacob apart. Jacob took Bella home, only to discover that Alice had inexplicably turned up there; he recoiled from her presence and fled to La Push to regroup. When he finally returned to the Swans' home later that evening to ensure Bella was okay, he draws her in and nearly kiss when the phone interrupted them. Edward. Jacob refused to surrender much information, telling Edward that Chief Swan was attending a funeral. It was only Alice’s vision that gave Bella the insight into what had just happened, and with that Bella and Alice rushed to try to stop him, leaving Jacob deeply hurt and disgusted by Bella's choice. A few days passed and Jacob grew more anxious with every passing moment, he had no idea what would become of their reunion. Questions had run through his head, and it wasn’t until he heard those familiar, clumsy, footsteps running toward him that he knew. Stood waiting at the front door, he watched as Bella ran toward him, reaching out and on contact wrapping his arms so tightly around her. From this moment onward, he knew her heart had changed, letting him in fully.
