Rosalie stood outside of the diner, watching as people she recognized from high school walked in and greeted their friends. She watched as they greeted one another with hugs and laughter, and a smile almost graced her lips at the sight. Almost being the key word. No matter how great it was to watch friendships and for her to have a bond with her coven like none other, she missed being the one to make friends. Sure, the family had the Denali coven and some straggling friends from when various members traveled. Other than the members of her own coven, however, Rose had no friends. She hadn't had friends since 1933 when she was turned. That piece of life was ever missing for her and its absence didn't go unnoticed.
she had wanted friends throughout the years, of course. The thing that always stopped her, of course, was her vampirism. As grateful as she was that Carlisle saved her, which inevitably brought her to find Emmett, she missed the benefits of a human life. The permanence, the holidays with different foods to eat, even the aging were all things that she craved and longed for. With most vampires choosing to seek out a more nomadic lifestyle, it was very rare for her to meet any vampires that she could ever start a deep friendship with. She could always try and befriend a human, but that was the riskiest move of all. She would never put her family at risk like that. As much as she craved and valued friendship, she valued her family more. She could never risk their lives for something as simple as a friendship.
the blonde sighed softly to herself, turning away from the diner and beginning to walk towards her car before she heard a rustling of leaves. She turned back to see a brunette whom she had never seen before standing by the diner. Her brow arched in curiosity as she watched her, inspecting her features to make sure that her suspicions were correct. She had never seen someone in Forks that could even begin to parallel the looks of the Cullens, so she noticed the vampiric beauty instantly. She pursed her lips as she thought to herself about what this vampire could be doing here in Forks. She had never seen her nor had she ever heard Carlisle describe someone with her features before. She took in a deep breath before moving back towards her stopping behind her and tapping her shoulder.
"excuse me," she said before giving the woman a tight-lipped smile. "I don't believe we've met. I'm Rosalie Hale. Would you mind having a chat with me? I'm very curious as to why someone like you would be in Forks." She motioned her arm towards the door of the diner before chuckling humorlessly. "I swear not to bite. Just want to talk."
